Abstract

The author gives a general analysis of the current state of the mechanism of formation of a Russian citizen in the context of the cultural perception of the Russian identity through the history of the Fatherland by the surviving objects of historical and cultural heritage. The article describes the role of NGOs as institutes of civil society in the implementation of state youth policy. The brief review of activities organized by the the Russian society of protection of monuments of history and culture in different regions of the Russian Federation for youth and involving young people in the framework of state youth policy as one of priority directions of development of the modern Russian state; a short reference of the revival of its activity is presented. Also the importance of effective partnership of state and public organizations for initiating and implementation of state youth policy is justified.
