Историко-политические аспекты во взаимоотношениях РПЦ и Англиканской церкви в конце XIX начале XX века

Abstract

The article examines the relationship between the dialogue of the ROC and the Church of England in the prism of the political development of relations between the Russian Empire and Western European countries in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Religious contacts between Orthodox and Anglican became one of the determining factors in the construction of military alliances on the eve of the outbreak of the First World War of 1914-1918. At this point in the territory of the Russian Empire, representatives of the Anglican Church intensified the activities of inter-confessional organizations. In particular, in 1912 the Society of Zealots for the Rapprochement of the Eastern Orthodox and Anglican Churches was opened.
