INTERACTION OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT WITH PUBLIC AUTHORITIES

Abstract

The article considers the role of local authorities in the system of functioning of the state, the legal basis and the forms of their interaction with the state authorities of federal and regional levelare defined. It is emphasized that these and other actions in the framework of a unified state policy, have similar goals and objectives, and different levels of realized authority and organizational structure. Some forms and methods of interaction of local government with the federal and local state authorities are examined. Specific state powers are indicated, which may be vested in local self-government bodies. A number of problems are identified in the organization of their interaction with public authorities, possible ways of increasing the effectiveness of interaction are outlined. The importance and necessity of coordination of joint actions in the performance of those and others of their immediate functions are shown. It is noted that the interaction is subordinated to a common goal raising the standard of living and welfare of the population.
